Who We Are

OUR STORY
Hey! Thanks for checking Wildland Coffee out. My name is Zach Frantz and I'm the founder of Wildland.
I started Wildland because I believe in living a different kind of life.
No 9-5 suburban life.
No following the trends.
No keeping up with the Jones'.
I want to live my life on my terms and I want to help my customers do the same. I'm executing on this mission and vision by creating amazing coffee products that help you get out and enjoy the outdoors.
THIS IS HOW WE DO IT
You don’t need a French press or pour-over to make great coffee. All you need are great beans, finely ground, expertly treated, and passed through hot water.
That’s why the Wildland Coffee Bag works. Packed with quality flavor, it’s conveniently designed for steeping before you step into the wild. No fancy equipment, no mess, no headache. Just great coffee.

WHAT DOES WILDLAND COFFEE TASTE LIKE?
Most of our customers tell us it tastes just like their french press or drip coffee. If you think about it, those other coffee methods take ground coffee and run them through hot water, which is exactly what the tea bag does! We use great beans and have an amazing roasting process so we think you'll love it too.

IT’S ETHICAL AND SUSTAINABLE
We stole tea’s convenience factor and reclaimed it in coffee’s name. If you can heat up 8 oz. of water, soak a bag, and wait a few minutes, you can make a cup of Wildland Coffee. We believe in you.
Avoid the tedious Hell of French presses and pour-overs—cleaning out filters, grinding beans, restarting the whole process when you want coffee later. And avoid the bad-tasting instant stuff by all means necessary. With Wildland, you can enjoy delicious coffee and keep your mornings drama-free.
Big Coffee has convinced decent, hardworking citizens like you that coffee has to be bitter. Not true. Coffee’s only bitter when it’s over-roasted—a tactic most often employed to mask the flavor of low-quality beans.
Our specialty-grade beans offer subtle notes of caramel and chocolate in a strong, full-bodied brew. It’s free of artificial flavors. Creamer-heads like it without creamer. And you get to enjoy it without time-consuming cleanup after.
As if a great product weren’t enough—drinking Wildland Coffee makes you a great person, too.
Take a seat on your favorite stump and a sip from your favorite mug with the knowledge that our coffee is ethically sourced from Cerrado, Brazil, and completely traceable.
The coffee bag itself is even 100% compostable. Shout out to corn fiber and mother nature for making this possible.
Our team is constantly finding new and earth-friendly innovative ways to develop our product.
DOES WILDLAND COFFEE USE INSTANT COFFEE?
No, we have standards. Wildland Coffee roasts specialty grade coffee beans from Brazil, grinds them and packages them all within 4 days. We nitro-flush each pouch so the coffee stays fresh for at least 12 months.
WHAT IS NITRO-FLUSHING?
Nitro-flushing is a way to help keep coffee fresh for longer by replacing the oxygen in the container with nitrogen. Just like oxygen, nitrogen is one of the gases in the air that we breathe every day. However, while oxygen will react quickly with the surface molecules of coffee and cause it to go stale in a few days through a process called oxidation, nitrogen is an inert gas and does not lead to oxidation.
Nitro-flushing each coffee pouch ensures that the coffee stays fresh for much longer – at least a year!
IS YOUR COFFEE SUSTAINABLE?
Hell yeah it is! We only work with ethical and sustainable farms in Brazil.
Not only do we source from sustainable farms, but we also work to be sustainable in other ways. Our roasting and packaging is all in San Diego so we avoid shipping raw materials and thus pollute less. Additionally, very soon when we ship our orders, the individual pouches will only be loose in a poly bag. We are doing this to reduce the amount of cardboard and packaging we use.
WHAT'S YOUR RETURN POLICY?
If you don't like Wildland Coffee, reach out and we'll make it right with a refund.
