Inspired by the simple, delicious and authentic yakitori and hibachi, the YAK Grill carries on a long tradition of people gathering around fire and hot coals to cook their meals. We designed the charcoal YAK Grill to make the tradition accessible to everyone and welcome a new generation to the joys of connecting over delicious food prepared together.

It all started with a passion for the delicious flavour of charcoal and love for the social grilling aspect of yakitori. YAK Grills launched with a hit Indiegogo campaign in 2020 and has been inspiring people to gather around the grill ever since.
Besides being derived from ‘yakitori’ — Japanese for “grilled chicken” — we share our name with the sturdy, intelligent and highly social yak, native to the Himalayas. YAK is an ode to both delicious yakitori prepared over charcoal and the strong, sure-footed pack animal.
