FROM THE FOUNDER:
"I had fallen in love with surfing & exploring parts of the world few will ever see. However, both at home and on the road, I noticed a common problem threatening the smaller corners of the world we are all drawn to: overconsumption.
I decided I needed to do something to help others and myself become part of the solution, rather than being more part of the problem.
My aim was to make simple, durable products from rugged materials, mitigating overconsumption through quality, long-lasting goods."

Our Materials:
Responsibly Sourced:
To us, sustainability means working with ethically and responsibly sourced materials to create products that will stand the test of time. All Faro products are crafted with this philosophy in mind. We utilize different materials throughout our line of goods, some of which are: recycled polyester made from ocean-found plastic waste, organic cotton grown here in the USA, and dead-stock and factory seconds canvas that would normally be put into landfills. For all of our products, we will continue to put the planet ahead of profits, creating responsible products that last a lifetime.
Made From Ocean Found Plastic:
For our surfboard bags and other accessories, the journey of our fabric starts in Bali, Manila, and Nairobi where we have teamed up with local advocates that collect ocean & landfill plastic bottles, whereupon the bottles are cleaned, sorted, and the usable plastics are broken down then shipped via climate-neutral shipping to facilities in China where once-old plastic is turned into our rugged StokedPlastic™️ canvas. The StokedPlastic™️ canvas is then shipped to our local San Diego manufacturing facility where it is cut and sewn into board bags. Each Board bag pulls 45+ ocean found plastic bottles out of the water! Directly battling over consumption.

All of our bags are handmade from rugged materials that are meant to endure a life of exploration by the sea. Attention to detail is ingrained in our process, and no stitch is overlooked. Small scale local manufacturing allows us to ensure that you're getting the best quality product every time.
